Wow another month has flown by! Time to show you what I have been upto! First of: I started writing for Tilburg.com. / Next I got my beloved Ombre hair back! So happy with a little more colour in my life. / I sprained my ankle at the end of April, but still needed to run in may. So tape would help me. This way I could run without doing any further damage / and yes! The man and I made it! 13 KM!

New kicks!!!! / Getting my new shoe closet at Ikea! And the man was laughing and filming me with this big heavy box... / my new shoe closet in full swing! (still too small, but it's a start!) / Smoothie aka milkshake time! Very into rolled oats and cinnamon at the moment. 

Well this sums up my month! Today I'm going to some redecorating in my house with my dad... hoping project "new house" will be finished before we live here for a year ;)

In love with my new kicks! My new Nike Dunk Sky High in crisp white! Combined it with my fav leather jacket and my new hoody. I used to wear these hoodies all the time... but for some reason I didn't bother buying new ones (the old ones shrunk aka I'm getting fat!) so I was wearing the BF's one for a while. Since I had some giftcards left from my birthday, I considered that a new hoody would be a good buy. Also threw in a new pair of leggings and a new weekend outfit has born!
I have received some comments, if I want to post some work-outfits. Well since I only take outfit photo's on the weekends, and I like my sneakers and leather jacket much more then my blazers and heels, it hasn't worked out yet. But I'll find some time over the next couple of weeks to show you some work outfits. Since I have bought some new items, it's a double win!

Work-out: Nike Training Club App


It's been a while since my last work-out post. I have been out of the running and of my game due to an injury. The thing is when the fysio-guy told me to rest, I took that very literally. I have hardly done anything these past few weeks (besides lying on the couch and eat...). In 3 months time I flying to Ibiza to enjoy a lovely holiday, but before that: this body is going to get back into shape. Next to my trips to the gym (since I'm still not running at the moment) I like to do Nike Training Club. It's a full work-out on your Iphone or Ipad. By the way: You can download the app for free from the appstore.
First you choose a Goal: do you want to get lean, toned or strong? You can also choose one of the focused work-outs. These are short work-outs for just one specific area. I love to do one of those after I have been for a run.
Next up you choose a level: beginner, intermediate or advanced. Seriously, I started with the advanced way back in the time that I was a frequent visitor of the gym. Well... that was not such a good idea. In the state I am now I choose the beginner mode. Choose one of the work-outs, set the music: GO!

Tip: If you don't have dumbbells or a medicine ball; use 1,5 liter coke bottles filled with water. That what I do. You'll be pumping 1,5kg.

All the exercises come with video's if you are not sure how to do a specific exercise. Do make sure you are doing it the correct way, since there is no coach who can correct you.

After you have done your work-out you can sync your minutes, share your progress or just view your badges that you have earned. I'm not a such a sharer when it comes to my NTC achievement, but I like the badges and the extra content you can unlock. Like smoothie recipes and extra bonus work-outs.

Het is al een hele tijd geleden dat ik een work out post gemaakt heb. Dit komt natuurlijk ook omdat ik al een tijdje stil zit vanwege mijn enkelblessure. Van de fysio moest ik absolute rust houden, en dat heb ik vrij letterlijk genomen. Ik heb werkelijk niets ondernomen, alleen op de bank gelegen en gegeten! Over 3 maanden ga ik op vakantie naar Ibiza, dus je snapt wel dat ik graag weer in vorm kom voor die tijd. Als een aanvulling op mijn work outs op de sportschool ben ik fan van Nike Training Club. Deze app kun je gratis downloaden in de app store; zodat je via je Iphone en Ipad verschillende work-outs kunt doen. 

Allereerst kies je een Goal. Kies je voor Lean (lening), toned (mooie lange spieren) of strong (spieren kweken). Of je kunt kiezen voor een korte "focused" work-out, deze richt zich op 1 specifiek onderdeel van het lichaam. Ik hou ervan om zo'n work-out (bijvoorbeeld Core Crunch) na een run te doen. 

Wanneer je je keuze gemaakt hebt kun je kiezen voor een niveau: Beginner, intermediate, advanced. 
Vergis je niet. Ik dacht aan advanced te kunnen beginnen toen ik nog in shape was; maar helaas. Dat viel echt vies tegen! Tegenwoordig doe ik de beginner work-out, en die is nu zelfs al pittig. 
Vervolgens kies je een van de work-outs op je scherm (alleen de namen al zijn super leuk), set je muziek: GO! 

Tip: wanneer je net als ik, geen gewichtjes of een medicijnbal hebt, kun je ook gewoon 1,5 liter frisdrank flessen vullen met water. Dan heb je in ieder geval 1,5kg gewichtjes. 

Zorg er wel voor dat je goed naar de filmpjes kijkt als je niet zeker weet hoe het moet. Er is geen coach die op je let of je het wel goed doet. Het verkeerd doen van oefeningen kan blessures met zich mee brengen! 



Na je work-out kun je minuten syncen, je work-out sharen of gewoon je badges bekijken. Ik share niet zoveel van NTC. Wel kijk ik naar de badges. Hier zit vaak extra content bij zoals recepten voor smoothies of extra bonus content.

New in: Nike Dunk Sky High

Oh yes she did! I don't buy shoes very often, I even think my last two pairs of shoes were sneakers aswell?! Well I really wanted these sneakers. Last season I needed to get used to the wedge in the sneakers, so I ended up not getting them. This season I saw these white beauties and I was sold: I needed these in my life! Since my size was sold-out everywhere it still was quite a search. I finally found them re-stocked at Zalando (I even had a gift certificate, I couldn't be happier!). I love the wedge, the crisp white, the mesh... I love it all!

Food: Halloumi Salade & Mixed Grill

Dining & drinking with friends: it's my fav! So here is another post of a little feast the man and I prepared last week. We served our guests a 3-course meal (the last course was a simple apple pie, so of which I don't have pics...).
For starters we had a simple salad with grilled halloumi on top, the main course was a vegetable and sausage roast from the oven. I posted these recipes in Dutch below. The recipes are quite simple (just toss everything together et voila) but if you can't read Dutch and would like to have the full recipe; let me know!


Dutch:
Heerlijk dineren en biertjes drinken is toch wel mijn favoriete bezigheid. Vorige week hebben vriendlief en ik weer een mooi feest op tafel gezet. We hadden een 3 gangen menu samengesteld. De laatste gang was een simpele appeltaart (welke ik wel zelf gebakken had natuurlijk) maar daar heb ik geen foto's van helaas. 

De eerste gang was een simpele salade met gegrilde citroen en halloumi, als hoofdgerecht hadden we aardappels, tomaten en worsten oven; geloof me dat is veel lekkerder dan het klinkt. 

Halloumi Salade (6 personen)
 - 1 grote krop sla
- 1 komkomer
- 6 grote tomaten
- 12 radijsjes
- 1 citroen
- 1/2 blok halloumi (of 6 plakken) verkrijgbaar in de Turkse supermarkt of eco-winkel
- Sla saus

Was de sla goed en zoek 6 mooie grote bladeren uit. Deze houd je apart. De overige sla snijd je in een kleinere stukken. Snijd de komkomer, tomaten en radijsjes in hapklare stukjes. Snijd de citroen in plakken, zodat je 6 mooie plakken krijgt. Snijd ook halloumi 6 plakken van een halve centimeter dik. Ondertussen verhit je de grilpan (zonder olie!) leg de citroen en de halloumi in de pan. Wanneer deze mooie bruine grilstrepen hebben is het klaar. 
Leg op elk bord het sla blad; leg hierop een bedje van gesneden sla. Hierboven op komt een mix van de gesneden groente. Eindig met een plakje citroen en een plakje halloumi boven op. 
Serveer de salade met een saus naar keuze. Wij hadden honing mosterd saus.

Mixed grill (6 personen) 
- 12 worsten (bijv 6 toscaanse en 6 catelaanse worstjes) 
- 12 aardappelen (ongeveer 1 kilo) 
- 8 - 12 grote tomaten
- 1 bol verse knoflook
- 4 rode uien
- bos verse thijm
- olijfolie
- grof zeezout
- peper

Voor 6 personen heb je wel meer dan 1 bakplaat nodig.  Verwarm de oven voor op 180 graden. Bekleed de bakplaat met bakpapier. Was de aardappelen, en snijd deze in stukken. Laat de schil erop zitten; maar haal wel de lelijker plekjes weg. Snijd de rode ui. Leg de aardappelen en de rode ui op de bakplaat, lekker door elkaar gegooid. Haal tenen knoflook van de bol en leg deze ongepeld tussen de andere ingredienten. Sprenkel olijfolie over de ingredienten; bestrooi met zeetzout en peper, als laatste voeg je de verse thijm takjes toe. Leg de bakplaat voor 20 minuten in de voorverwarmde oven. 
Terwijl de oven zijn werk doet, was en snijd je de tomaten in grote stukken. Ook de worstje haal je los van elkaar. Na 20 minuten, haal  je de plaat eruit. (pas op deze is HEET!). Nu leg je de overige ingredienten tussen de andere ingredienten op de plaat. Nogmaals wat olijfolie, zout en kruiden erover heen. De plaat schuif je weer voor 20 tot 25 minuten in de oven op 180 graden. 
Na deze tijd is het wijs om een worstje door te snijden om te zien of deze echt goed gaar is. Nu is het serveren en smullen maar! 

Ik ben trouwens wel benieuwd of jullie het prettig vinden dat ik de recepten tegenwoordig in het Nederlands schrijf, en of jullie uberhaupt graag recepten lezen. Let me know :)

New in: Naked 2 by Urban Decay

Guess what my mother-in-law got me for my birthday? The Naked 2! I know, I'm a slow adapter, since it has been out for ages. Nevertheless I'm so happy! The colours are so rich, the texture is great, the variety of colours is perfect. The big mirror is super handy, also the brush that comes with it works quite well. The metal box is an extra cool feature. Since I'm no beauty blogger (I seriously know nothing about beauty, even can't apply my own eyeliner without using a million of cotton tips...) I wont bore you with a product review. If your are interested in a good review let me know, cause I found quite a lot when I was choosing my new eye shadow pallette. My mother-in-law actually got it shipped in from the UK (I think...) since it's not available in The Netherlands right now.

What is your opinion? Do you like the big pallette by Urban Decay? Or rather stick to solo eye shadows from your local drugstore?

I really like how these pictures came out. When we shot these pics it was raining; stupid Dutch weather, something is really "off" at the moment! Usually we have sunshine in May. Now I'm on my couch with a blanket.
Well I had a great weekend, a wild ride full of party's and sleeping a lot (I'm defiantly getting too old to stay up all night and drinking too much...) but I also worked on some new more lifestyle related posts. Since you guys told me in my blog poll (here) that you guys didn't mind me boarding my horizon to more lifestyle and work-out posts, so I have been quite busy with that! See it on the blog soon!

Featured: Streetstyle for AD Weekend



Keeping it super short today; 'cause I'm off to the movies with my man. But I couldn't resist sharing this pic with you guys. I told you that I was photographed for the Dutch newspaper AD (see that here!). Well I was in the newspaper last weekend.

Food: Green Smoothie


Smoothies! It's my favorite start of the day, but sometimes I don't really know what to put in it, so I love to read blogs with recipes. Today I have decided to share my latest creation. 
For this green monster I used:
- 1 Banana
- 4 Radish
- 1/2 Cucumber
- 2 Green Kiwifruit
- One hand of spinach
- One hand of blue berries
- 2 Spirulina pills
Pop all the ingredients together and blend them until it is liquid. Serves 1. 
If you like to give the smoothie a sweeter taste: use more blue berries!
Enjoy!

Dutch: Ookal ben ik tweetalig, vind ik het lastig om engelse ingredientenlijsten te lezen. Veel benamingen moet ik dan toch weer vertalen om te weten wat ik erin moet doen. Vandaar dat ik dit recept nu ook in het Nederlands erop zet; wie weet vinden jullie het ook makkelijk! 
In dit groene monster heb ik gestopt:
- 1 Banaan
- 4 Radijsjes
- 1/2 Komkomer
- 2 Groene kiwi's
- Handje spinazie
- Handje blauwe bessen
- 2 spirulina pillen
Met de staafmixer maak ik alles vloeibaar en je hebt voldoende voor 1 groot glas.  
Wanneer je een zoetere smoothie wil, kun je meer blauwe bessen toevoegen. 
Smullen maar!

Finally I found time to post the rest of these great photo's of my photo shoot with Evelien from fotografille. We shoot these pics in the beautiful Interpolis garden in our home-town Tilburg. The funny thing was that the workers were prepping for a big event which is held this weekend at this location, so we had an audience while shooting.

A first sneak peek of the shoot I did with Evelien from Fotografille last weekend. I just loved the details in these pictures, that I didn't want them to get lost in the thunderstorm of a whole outfit post. Something new is the Wang bag. Yes I posted it a months ago, just after I got it (see it here). But never in an outfitpost. I quite like my Wang's together, the skirt & the bag. Now I finally know what it feels like to wear multiple designer items; still paired up with high street brands Zara and COS though.

Hello world! Finally got a work-around on my photo storage; well not really a work-around, but a solution I guess. By the way does anyone of you have tips how I can make the width of my pictures (horizontal and vertical) the same with Picasa (my photo editor)?? 
Guess my shirt refers to myself, I'm a fake. Thinking I can manage all the blogging stuff by myself, but I actually need a lot of help in the technical department. Talking about blog help. Last weekend I had a lovely photoshoot with fellow-blogger Evelien from the Dutch photo-blog Fotografille . We had such a blast. Afterwards we spend like 3 hours drinking tea and eating cake. She gave me heaps of tips for my blog, I'm so grateful to have met a fellow-blogger in my own city who can give me insiders tips. Well Evelien, if my readers don't come up with a solution to my question, I'll be calling you. ;) The shoot will be online later this week, so you guys (and me especially) have to be patient. Back to the outfit; this is what I was wearing last week. I only had 3 days of work and we had loads of sun. So hello: shorts! Too bad that the work week has started again; and the rain had returned!

Outfit: Embrace The Sun

How I love the sun! This is an outfit of the past week. The sun was out, but it was still chilly when a cloud showed up. So I choose to wear lighter colours, but still feel warmer with my scarf, and long trousers on. 
Well: I'm enjoying a long weekend at the moment. I love holidays, does it get any better?
