Monday evening my man and I went for a big walk after dinner. I decided to bring the camera along, but the first day of hard-work after the weekend is not good for my looks, so it seems. Sunday I had run 13K, so monday I wasn't going to work-out, but since the weather was so good and I'm kind of a restless soul, this big walk happened. Walking around our new neighbourhood, I love it.  Yesterday eve I lapped 13K again, so proud of myself that I have it in me. Althougth my theory is that everybody can do it, it's just a matter of really trying to. The only down-side is that I hardly have anytime to blog in the evenings when I'm running around Tilburg city, so I'm writing this post while I'm enjoying my breakfast.
Last day of work for me this week, how I love my 4-day workweeks. After nearly 4 years of 40+ hours, this is pure luxury (and most of my free day goes to the blog, but that's mighty fine!). This weekend is my birthday weekend, so excited!

Hope you all have a lovely day!

I'm wearing:
Coat: Mango | Tee: Zara | Grey Top: H&M | Jeans: Zara | Sneakers: Converse | Necklace & Bracelet: Fashionology |

Outfit: 9 Years of Love

IMG_0003 IMG_9998 IMG_0011

My laid-back look that I wore last Tuesday to cellebrate our 9th anniversay. Yeah, I'm quite the effort-maker. I even wore a skirt ;). Nah, the man and I decided that we would cellebrate it very laid-back and low key. We slept in, did brunch, went to a coffee place and ate pie, followed by a matinee viewing of Oz, the great and powerfull in Imax 3D. We had such a great time. I wore my zara skirt for the first time; it's a great addition to my wardrobe. I have looked for months, maybe even years for a good faux leather skirt. One that fits my hips and allows me to eat alot, and this one is perfect! But then again: the whole zara collection is perfect at the moment.

I'm wearing:
Faux leather skirt: Zara | Knit: Mango | Scarf: the Grey concept for H&M Divided | Boots: Zara | Bracelet: Lott Gioielli

My last outfit with my long hair; sounds like I have done something drastic? haha Well, it's not that drastic... but a little shorter. More on that later. I was wearing my new shoes! Love them! I also dug up my leopard blouse! Since this print is hanging in every store at the moment. I got this blouse years ago in Antwerp at the H&M for like 10 euros. Good investment ;).

I'm wearing:
Boyfriend Coat: Mango | Leopard Blouse: H&M (old) | Black Jeans: Zara | Studded Boots: Sacha | Beanie: H&M (men's)

Outfit: Layers in the Snow

All the snow has gone in the Netherlands, it took just a day for all the thick layers of ice that had been tormenting us for the last two weeks, to dissovle. These pictures were taken on Saturday, during the last snow fall. It was so cold that I choose to wear two jackets that day! And Thank God that I did. I'm not made for ice-cold-winters. I'm guessing it's my New Zealand genes.
Well of to work now: biking in the pouring rain... off course!

I'm wearing:
Coat: Mango | Leather Jacket: Trish Summerville for H&M (Dragon Tattoo collection) | Sweater: Mango | Long top: Bershka | Jeans: H&M | Bikerboots: Zara | Beanie: H&M (Mens)

Outfit: Maxi Oversized

My boyfriend hates this outfit... so if you are not a fan: I understand! But I love everything oversized. The bigger the better. I was thinking to call this post: Big girl. Because I look so small in these large clothes.
The sweater I'm wearing is from the Maison Martin Margiela x H&M collaboration. It's big, it's cashmere. It feels so rich.

Well last day of work before we close up for Christmas! Seriously can't wait to sit back, relax and spend quality time with my loved ones!

I'm wearing:
Maxi Sweater: Maison Martin Margiela for H&M | Boyfriend Coat: Mango | Tregging: Dept Denim Department | Sneakers: Converse

Preview: Maxi Oversized

Preview of my next outfitpost; a dark and maybe even gloomy pic. The title "Maxi Oversized" says alot about the outfit I'm wearing. Any ideas on what I'm wearing?

Have a nice evening!

New in: Never seen before (on my blog...)

It's no secret that I work fulltime, so can't take outfit pictures outside with daylight during the week. In the winter months my blog takes a lot of planning and organizing, that doesn't always work out. So I have chosen to show you some new buys like this. But again: I shot these pictures in the evening, with artifical light.

So whats new?
1 - Do you remember this post (here) - I told you that I attended a sample sale from Dept Denim Department: This quilted jacket was one of my scores!
2 - The Mango sweater from the Kate Moss collection - What's not to like?
3 - Detail of my quitled Dept bomber jacket
4 - Also a score from the Dept Sample sale - Grey top with a chain neckline.

Ps: I actually have that ladder next to my wardrobe; otherwise I can't reach the top shelves... Just in case you we're wondering why I have a ladder in my bedroom...

Hope your having a great weekend!

Outfit: Summer Dress

The whole outfit! I found it very hard to choose between the photo's, because I loved wearing this outfit! Although I'm not tanned yet (the real question is if I'm actually going to get a tan this summer. I'm guessing not). I scored this dress on sale at the zara, after I hung it back like 5 times: I'm not going on holiday, I need to cut back on shopping (I just bought a house for crying-out-loud) so why do I need a white dress? But I loved this dress, it's nothing like I have ever owned before. So when I saw this on sale, even then I waited for futher reduction, I got this dress for such a little price that I couldn't restrain myself: I need this dress. Afterwards it was such a good buy, because on the day that the BF and I had all the formalities for the new house it was over 30 degrees; perfect opportunity to wear my new dress!  Paired it up with my lovely tan-coloured mango booties (also on sale! I'm getting so good at this!) I was ready to put my signature on all the documents, and call myself a house owner! Wooohooh!
When we are done renovating and decorating our house, I'll give you guys a sneak peek into our new place. ' cause interior is also fashion in my book!

Do you like my dress?
Have a good weekend!

I'm wearing:
Dress: Zara |  Booties: Mango | Bangle: Fashionology | Bracelets: Cos & fashionology | Sunnies: H&M

Preview: Summer Dress

Preview of the upcoming outfit post! This what I wore last week, on a really special day for me, it was the day my BF and I signed all the paperwork and received the keys to our new house! Our first real house (I mean: a big ass family home, that we bought in the city centre).
So we are very busy with renovating and decorating, so taking outfit pics and getting my laptop fixed is not high on my priorty list at the moment, since I still working fulltime. But I'll try to update my blog as often as I can.
Well, I'll leave you with a pic of my lovely booties and my white legs. The rest will be online soon!

Outfit: Whites at the Office

It's no secret that I'm enjoying the summer-months working full time, not that we can call it summer at the moment, but that's a whole different story. Since 3 years (Augustus 3rd 2009, will never forget the day I started working full time, kissed my life away ;)) I work full time, not the same job, but still: in the office. Every summer I find it hard to dress for work. I want to be taken seriously (which is hard when you look 16 years old, but actually are a 28 year old MSc), but want to dress like my cheerful young self. In the winter it's easier to dress for the office: blacks and throw a jacket on top. Your good to go. But summer is harder, blacks are too hot and so is a jacket. This is an example of what I wear to the office now: all whites, light colored heels and your good to go. (Needlessly to say: I don't wear this outfit when I'm going on a sales pitch, or meeting with "the people up high" haha)
Have you guys got tips for me what to wear to the office during summer? I would love to hear them!

I'm wearing:
Star Top: Zara | White Jeans: H&M | Heeled Boots: Mango | Feather earrings: H&M Divided

New in: Mango Sale Shopping

Yes I did it again! I was not going to shop for clothes today, cause we were shopping for the festival we are going to next week. But then I ran into these lovely booties. I already have them in black, and wear them alot! (see here) I thought I could use them in this brown colour as well. Since I only own black heels, these are perfect for summer at the office (yes, those are my summer plans...). And as it was meant to be, I found these boots in this colour. Just one pair left. In my size. On sale. This was fate!
I already knew that they were sold-out online, so these baby's needed to come home with me.
Love these shoes, but on the other hand I do feel a little stupid owning the same shoe twice in a different colour (okay, Converse All Stars don't count! Since I own those in different colours).

Did you get anything good in the sale?
Have a nice weekend!

Outfit: Current Favorites

I couldn't decide on a title for this outfit; but current favorites is best, because I love wearing these new boots, my zara jeans (the fit like a glove) and also this top has been worn a lot lately. Maybe it's because it's finally summery weather in the Netherlands (although it's raining as we speak...). Anyhow: this is what I was wearing last Thursday, easy outfit to work and run errands in.
Yesterday I was supposed to go to the Ijhallen to check out this great flea market; but my friend and I never made it there because we wanted to stop in Hoofddorp first to do some shopping at Primark. We seriously spend 3h in the Primark! Well all my doubts about this shop are defiantly out the window. (By the way: Primark Hoofddorp is much better the Rotterdam!) with a bag full of cloths for me and some for the bf, some nice stuff for my home (yeah the have a Primark Home there as well!) we got the hell out of there.
The thing is that I really should stop buying stuff, because I have some really expensive months ahead of me. And I have bought so much lately, visited a sample sale of dept last week by the way. And guess what I'm doing next weekend? Yep, visiting a sample sale in Amsterdam.... After that I'm really going on a shopping diet; well I'm gonna try at least! :)

I'm wearing:
Boots: Mango | Pants: Zara | Mint Tee: Zara | Grey Tank: H&M | Arm cuff: H&M  Fashion Against Aids | Necklace: Fashionology | Bracelet: V&D

Outfit: Walking in Different Shoes

Behold! Me wearing shoes that are Not-All Stars!
As promised an outfit post wearing my new shoes that I got at Mango. For the people following me on facebook no surprise, since the image of these beauties was on there a week ago. (Not following me on facebook?? Do it here!) Well I love these new booties. Bought them for work, so I wear heels more often. I do own a lot of heels but all of them are pumps, and running around in the office, riding my bike, fetching trains, I mange to loose one of shoes or slip out of them.... Hopefully these booties will prevent that from happening!

I'm wearing:
Black heels: Mango | Pants: Pull & Bear | Destroyed Tee: Dragon Tattoo Collection by Trish Summerville for H&M | Sunnies: H&M | Bag: Mango | Cross Bangle: Fashionology | Leather Bracelet: H&M men

Outfit: Mothers Day

Sunday it was Mothers day! A lovely day to give thanks to your mum for all the stuff she does during the year for you. But actually I do think that you shouldn't wait for that ONE day a year to say thanks, but be grateful for all the stuff you take for granted every day of the year. So here goes: Thanks mum! :)
By the way I did do my best, by going the extra mile and actually wearing a dress! The image of me wearing a dress is getting very rare these last few months. I should wear them more often. And yeah: I'm wearing my black all stars again. Can't help myself, I love those shoes.
Anyhow, in the second photo you see my brother and me, very colour-coordinated, don't you think?
The last photo is the pavlova (this is New Zealand dessert) that mum made Sunday. Yummy aye?

I'm wearing:
Dress: H&M | Shoes: Converse All Stars | Bag: Mango | Leather Jacket: Trish Summerville for H&M | Scarf: H&M | Sunnies: America Today
