New in: I'm too busy - read my blog

I'm too busy - read my blog!
Mijn andere liefde is quotes!

En waar zijn jullie zoal druk mee?

Outfit: Summer Simple

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

EN// Finally a new outfit online! I've had a little trouble having a photographer present on the days I had a good outfit... and with the hot hot weather, I really wasn't bothered wearing anything remotely worth shooting. Well enough with the excuses, here is a new super simple outfit that I was wearing today. Scored these jeans in the finale sale at Zara. I wasn't planning on buying another pair of printed jeans (I think I own like 20 pairs allready... not kiddin!) but they fit me perfectly. And they are high wasted, a feature of which I didn't own yet. I have always been hesitant to wearing high wasted jeans, since I thought it wouldn't fit perfectly since I have hips and all.... but it's not! It's like my first pair of jeans that don't crawl down whenever you try to bend over. I'm a fan! Well since I hurt my ankle again... (accident prone??) I have to wear comfy shoes, so my fake vans are perfect! Combined it all with a new linnen tee from zara. Another thing I own in large quantities: back tee's! I think a basic tee is one of the worlds best inventions!

Outfit: The first of Summer

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The first of summer, although that's how that day felt! This is what I was wearing last Friday. I spend the day at the lake with my man. In the eve we had dinner at my parents house, 'cause we needed to go visit my grandad in the hospital with our family. Thank god he is alright by the way. I choose to wear something flowery and summery since there is a lot of unhappiness at the hospital (well, not in the baby-birth section.... but I wasn't visiting that department).
The skirt I'm wearing was my best sale-buy last season. Curious what this sale season will bring!

Enjoy your week!

Outfit: Lovely Whites

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Spring has sprung! Finally! So I choose to celebrate that little fact with a white outfit. Almost white that is.
I enjoy the warmer weather, only hard part is what to wear to the office? Since it is still cold in the morning when I go to work. Layering up works well for me, but it's always a hassle. Not that I'm complaining do, I love the sun and this weather! Can't wait for the weekend, have some nice plans! But let's first get through this week...., it's a very busy week for me, so I'm a little off my game. And since my ankle has put me way out of running, I have to start all over with baby steps. Anyone keen to join me? Since I'm slacking big time now. Well, enjoy your week! And I'll promise to post a more cheerful story then.

Finally I found time to post the rest of these great photo's of my photo shoot with Evelien from fotografille. We shoot these pics in the beautiful Interpolis garden in our home-town Tilburg. The funny thing was that the workers were prepping for a big event which is held this weekend at this location, so we had an audience while shooting.

I'm wearing:

A first sneak peek of the shoot I did with Evelien from Fotografille last weekend. I just loved the details in these pictures, that I didn't want them to get lost in the thunderstorm of a whole outfit post. Something new is the Wang bag. Yes I posted it a months ago, just after I got it (see it here). But never in an outfitpost. I quite like my Wang's together, the skirt & the bag. Now I finally know what it feels like to wear multiple designer items; still paired up with high street brands Zara and COS though.

More of this shoot will follow, stay tuned!

Outfit: We're all Fake

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Hello world! Finally got a work-around on my photo storage; well not really a work-around, but a solution I guess. By the way does anyone of you have tips how I can make the width of my pictures (horizontal and vertical) the same with Picasa (my photo editor)??
Guess my shirt refers to myself, I'm a fake. Thinking I can manage all the blogging stuff by myself, but I actually need a lot of help in the technical department. Talking about blog help. Last weekend I had a lovely photoshoot with fellow-blogger Evelien from the Dutch photo-blog Fotografille . We had such a blast. Afterwards we spend like 3 hours drinking tea and eating cake. She gave me heaps of tips for my blog, I'm so grateful to have met a fellow-blogger in my own city who can give me insiders tips. Well Evelien, if my readers don't come up with a solution to my question, I'll be calling you. ;) The shoot will be online later this week, so you guys (and me especially) have to be patient. A sneak peak is on my instagram: @amysfashionscrapbook.

Back to the outfit; this is what I was wearing last week. I only had 3 days of work and we had loads of sun. So hello: shorts! Too bad that the work week has started again; and the rain had returned!

I'm wearing:
Tee: Zoe Karssen | Shorts: H&M | Slippers: Primark

Note to self: Iron t-shirt. I actually never iron my clothes. It's just not my style. And yes, these faux leather leggings just ripped by themselves because I have worn then over and over again. When it was just the one hole it was kinda cool, now I just look awesome. ;)
Nevertheless: I'm on the lookout for a new pair, any suggestions?

What I was wearing last week during Easter. This post was supposed to be online much earlier this week, but I couldn't restrain myself in sharing the pics of the CreamPR bloggerevent with you. So Easter... very different to last year. See what I was wearing back then here! I was a little under the weather, so very uninspired that's what freezing cold weather and a actual cold does to me. Thank god that the sun has come back today. (Only thing is that I went out to shoot outfit pics the morning, and today's outfit has a lot of similarities with this one.... but you'll see that later).

By the way what do you think of my fake Vans? Got them at the Primark when I shopped the summer goodies which were on the blog earlier (here). The quality isn't great (duh! what can you expect for 8 euros... yeah you read that correct!) they are very comfy, but the sole shows traces of wear already. But perfect enough for one summer of festivals I reckon.

I'm wearing:
Leather Jacket: Trish Summerville Dragon Tattoo Collection for H&M | Jeans shirt: New Yorker | Scarf: The Grey Concept for H&M divided | Grey tee: Primark | Sneakers: Primark | Rings: H&M

DIY: Jack Daniels Tanktop

IMG_0109_2

Last year I visited the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium (see here) there I saw Lana Del Rey perform, and she was wearing a Jack Daniels tanktop. I needed that tanktop. Little did I know, these tops we're going to get sold by the dozen in all the webshops. From the first moment I thougth: I'm gonna buy a male shirt, and make my own. In all the webshops these tops are kinda over-prized, and sold-out in a heartbeat. The only thing was to find a cheap Jack shirt. A few months ago I found one at Play.com for only 12 euro's (including shipping & packing!) and the shirt was deliverd in 24h!

DIY Jack before-after

I'll show you what will be the easiest DIY you'll have seen in your life; transforming this male shirt to a nice tank, to wear to the festivals this summer.

You'll need:

IMG_0084

DIY jack daniels

Step 1: Find your picture of inspiration. I googled the pics of Lana at Rock Werchter, just to have a basic idea how far down I would cut the armholes.

Step 2: Try the shirt on. What bits do you want to cut off?

Step 3: Lay your shirt inside-out on flat surface, and start drawing with your make-up pencil what pieces you want to cut off. Start with the first sleeve

Step 4: Cut off the first sleeve, over the line I just had drawn.

Step 5: Fold your shirt in the middle, so you can trace round the cut armhole. This way both armholes will end up similar.

Step 6: After this I cut off the collar. Trying it on everytime I decided to cut something off. For the neckline I just traced stitching on the crewneck. I also cut-off the hem the same way. Just following the stitching with my scissors.

The result:

Onlangs bijgewerkt5

The first snap is from the side; I love how the armholes turned out. For the other two photo's I rolled the fabric underneath my bra straps. This is the hot festovallook. The first photo is with normal fit (see the after photo back up in this post, to see what the front looks like. Since that photo turned out tooo blurry. Sorry!).

I can't wait for festival season to start!

Well I hope you enjoyed this DIY. Since I'm certainly not a DIY-Queen, that's why I rarely blog about it. I think this is my second or third DIY-post in the entire lifetime of my blog.
All comments and DIY-requests are wellcome ;)

Finally an outfit with my lovely Leopard coat; it was such a steal, one of the very last items in the Zara sale that had in my local zara. Can't understand why they had racks full with this coat for 29 euro's! Since it used to be 149,- Well, I'm a very happy girl, since I wanted it from the first time I laid my eyes on this coat. And since winter is not over yet, it's a good addition to my wardrobe. I must admit that I haven't bought much lately; this cold is leaving me uninspired. Hope that will change soon!
Well long weekend ahead of us: Easter! What are you going to do with your extra free time?

Outfit: I'm a Geek

The readers who follow me on instagram (@amysfashionscrapbook) had already seen that this lovely Geek shirt was lying under my christmas tree! I had  such a blast, and got spoiled big time! I'm still meaning to do a christmas gift post; but as you may have noticed: my mind has been on other things then blogging! I finally have a vacatione from work, which means that I'm running around doing all the stuff I should have done in the past year. Like switch my health insurance before the bell tolls midnight on new years eve... work on my house. I even crawled under my house yesterday, I mean: this house ownership is getting some good dedication out of me. Yes, I know: I sound like a Geek at the moment, hence the shirt.
I have heaps of inspiration for new posts, just no time to make it all. Stay tuned though, I promise to make some of my idea's work!

ps: did you read my post about the sale? (here) How are you getting on? Curious te see what you scored in the sale!

Wishlist: The Christmas List 2012

Yeah, I know: I'm late with my christmas wishlist! But time is just flying by! I can't imagine that we'll be cellebrating christmas in just a week! I have to start my christmas shopping. The boy and I did some shopping in London, so a few things on this list are already under my tree. Not telling you which ones just yet. One thing is sure: the Isabel Marant sneakers aren't under my tree yet; so this is my new tactic: ask cheap things, so that they only big gift on your list is that one designer item you want. Not sure if it will work though!

For now: what's on the list?
1 - Iphone Game Boy case - I used to have this old skool model game boy! (via Play)
2 - Isabel Marant sneaker - pure love (Via Mayke)
3 - Leather gloves (via H&M)
4 - OPI Jams Bond Live and Let Die (Via ASOS)
5 - Candle - perfect for my new house (Via H&M)
6 - Jamie's 15 minute meals - ideal for my busy life - (Via Bol)
7 - Geek Tee - love it! (Via Topshop)

Well had a great weekend, (follow me on instagram @amysfashionscrapbook to stay updated!) More on that later. For now: Enjoy your Sunday eve!

New in: Zoe Karssen

As you could read in my last post I visited the Zoe Karssen Sample Sale in Amsterdam last Saturday (here).
These were my buys! Since I have been buys quite alot of items lately (not spending much money though!) I had restricted myself to only buying the items I really wanted. And Thank God for me, all three items were on my wishlist! A simple basic tee, the Monsieur Karssen sweat and the I'm so Rock n' Roll Tee. As you might have noticed these items were on my fashionalista account (here) and on my b-day wishlist (here).

What do you think of my buys? Did you also attend the sample sale?
Love to hear from you!

New in: Budget Shopping

It was kinda hard to take good pictures of some shopping I did. The weather is so grey outside that taking outfit pictures is out of the question to start with. Well back to the new items.
I have been budget shopping, since I have some expensive months ahead (more on that later). I visited a sample sale of Dept (& J.C. Rags for the men among us) last week. I scored some nice items, and also the boy found some nice stuff. Last weekend I did somemore budget shopping at Primark (as you could read here) and an Outlet of chain store The Sting. Scored some pretty cool stuff, but the prices of the items were more amazing! I like!

Well; in this post some of the colourfull stuff I scored:
1- Denims! Jegging, Grey Tie Dye & Neon Peach: Dept Denim Department. Pink Tie Dye: Primark
2 - Tee's & Scarf from Primark

I bought much more stuff (quite a lot though!) but I'll leave some surprises for upcoming outfit posts!
I have another sample sale in my agenda for the upcoming week, and after that we wait for the sale!
(And next year I hope to be buying more expensive stuff though... but in the mean time I'm managing quite alright!).

Outfit: Lost in Summer

Whooh dude! It's summer all right!
And I'm loving it to it's fullest, so I have been a little AFK from social media and my blog.
Today I went chilling at a lake in a village just a couple of miles from my home town. The weather was great.
This is what I was wearing, a summery chilling outfit. Now in the weekend I can finally wear my new sweat shorts. I love them, think I'll be wearing them all summer. Too bad I can't wear them to the office, otherwise I wouldn't take them off.
Well about the rest of my weekend: going to Pinkpop tomorrow to see The Boss in real life! And of course Mumford & Sons and all the other cool bands. Can't wait!
Follow me on Twitter for live updates from the Pinkpop field!

I'm wearing:
Tee: Pull & bear | Sweat Shorts: H&M | Hat: Jay, Jays (bought in New Zealand) | Bag: New Look | Flip Flops: Rip Curl | Sunnies: H&M | Bracelets: H&M, Saint Tropez
